Chad Ferguson

Chad Ferguson has worked in HVAC since 1999, serving Marietta and the North Atlanta suburbs since he founded Innovative Mechanical in 2015. He came up through the trade the long way, service tech, service manager, general manager, before an investment group bought the company he was running and turned the work into a numbers game. He left to build something different, quality over quotas.

That’s the whole philosophy behind how the company runs. Every job gets a proper load calculation, ductwork sized to fit the house, equipment installed to spec, not whatever’s fastest to close out. Chad has one standard for an install. Done right the first time, or not done at all.

It holds up because Innovative Mechanical isn’t owned by an outside investor chasing targets. Nobody here earns extra for talking a homeowner into a system they don’t need. If it can be repaired, it gets repaired, and Chad will tell you why. If it’s genuinely at the end of its life, he’ll say that too, and lay out the real numbers.

That same standard follows him home. Chad comes from a family of aviation people, a grandfather who engineered aircraft, a father who flew them, and holds a helicopter pilot’s license himself. He built his own house from the ground up, a geothermal and solar project done alongside his grandfather, later covered in the local paper. As a Trane dealer who’s toured the Trane, Lennox, and Carrier factories, he brings the same firsthand precision to every system he touches.

It all comes back to one thing. Ask Chad what he likes best about the job, and it isn’t the equipment. It’s twenty-seven years in and still showing up to a job site himself, not managing from behind a desk.
