Our Story
Why We Started Doing HVAC This Way
Innovative Mechanical was founded in 2015 with a simple belief: HVAC service should start with understanding the problem, not selling the biggest solution. From the beginning, the goal was to do residential heating and cooling with more care, more transparency, and less pressure.
That still shapes how we work today. We diagnose first, show you what we found, explain what needs attention now and what can wait, then let you decide what makes sense for your home. We do not work from sales quotas, and we do not recommend replacement when a solid repair will do the job.
We have stayed focused on residential HVAC because homes are the work we know best. Much of our growth has come through repeat customers and referrals, which means a lot to us. Clear answers, careful work, and long-term trust have always mattered more than making the quickest sale.

Who Comes To Your Home
When someone steps into your home, you should feel confident that they know what they are looking at and can explain it without making things complicated. That is why we keep a small residential team and hold every technician to the same standard from one call to the next.
Every technician is NATE-certified, EPA 608-certified for refrigerant handling, and kept current through ongoing training. Our installation crews also follow manufacturer specifications and complete a final inspection before the job is finished.
More importantly, you get someone who can tell you what failed, why it happened, and what your realistic options are. If a repair still makes sense, we will say so. If replacement is the smarter long-term move, we will explain why. Either way, you get a clear answer and the space to decide what works for your home.
The Standards We Do Not Move On
What You Can Expect From Us On Any Job
-
The Recommendation Comes With The Reasoning
We explain what we found and why it matters before we talk about price, so you are deciding between options you understand rather than agreeing to something you do not. Nothing gets done to your system until you say so.
-
Every Estimate Begins In Your Home
We do not price a system over the phone, because the same job can be straightforward in one house and complicated in the next. We come out, look at the equipment and the space it has to serve, and put a clear written estimate in your hands.
-
A Warranty On The Work, Not Only The Equipment
Manufacturer coverage protects the parts. Our lifetime craftsmanship warranty stays with the installation for the whole time the house is yours, and repairs carry a 1-year parts and labor warranty along with a 30-day no-cost callback, both of which apply to the same repair issue or part.
-
We Look At What Moves The Air, Not Only What Cools It
Every replacement quote includes an analysis of your supply and return airflow, because a well-chosen system fitted to restrictive ductwork will never perform the way it should. If your ducts are fine, we will tell you that and move on.
-
Ongoing Training That Shows In The Work
Our technicians stay current through NATE certification, continuing education, and Trane training, including advanced coursework. That ongoing training helps them recognize problems faster, diagnose them more accurately, and complete repairs with fewer callbacks.
-
Independently Owned, And Accountable For It
We are independently owned and locally run, so the person who sets the standard for the work is the person who has to answer for it. There is no regional office deciding what your house needs from three states away.
Credentials, And What Each One Covers
What These Certifications Mean For Your Home
Licensed and Insured
We hold an active state HVAC contractor's license, a required credential that the state issues before anyone can legally perform this work, and we carry insurance for every job.
The work can be permitted and will pass inspection, so it will not become a problem on the day you sell the house. If a technician is injured or something in your home is damaged while we are there, the cost is covered by our policy rather than your homeowner's insurance.
EPA Section 608 Certification
Federal law requires this certification before anyone can handle or recover refrigerant. Every one of our technicians holds it.
Refrigerant is recovered rather than vented, and your system is charged to the manufacturer-specified weight rather than by feel. A system running above or below that number costs more to operate every month and wears out sooner, and a manufacturer can refuse a warranty claim for work done by an uncertified technician.
NATE Certification, Every Technician
North American Technician Excellence certification is earned by examination and kept current through continuing education. It is voluntary, which is the point, and all of our technicians hold it.
You are far more likely to get the right answer on the first visit. Somebody who tests before replacing does not install a new part just to find out whether it was the problem, so you are not paying twice for one repair.
Trane Authorized Dealer
Trane Authorized Dealer status holds us to the manufacturer's standards on the equipment we install most, and our technicians attend Trane's advanced classes as part of its continuing education program.
A system installed to the specification its warranty assumes is one whose warranty remains intact. The company that fitted it is also the company servicing it afterward, so nobody is guessing at what was done behind the panel.
Reviews From Our Neighbors, One Consistent Story
Read the reviews our neighbors have left on Google, and what people keep saying isn't about a flashy sales pitch — it's simpler than that. Honest. Showed up when they said they would. Never tried to sell me something I didn't need. That's the whole job, done right, one home at a time.
“One of the most reliable small businesses I've ever worked with… They never tried to upsell me or pushed me to sign maintenance contracts. The technician was on time, communicated with me on every step, and was really careful to leave my house in pristine condition — and extremely gentle with my pets.”
“Great service and fair price. I had the opportunity to meet the owner Chad and he is running a very strong organization. His employees are well trained and the pricing is very fair.”
“This was the second time that I have counted on Chad and his team for their quick response, professionalism, speedy repair and honesty! I highly recommend!”
“Quick service. Very professional. More than fair pricing. Refreshing to have a company doing honest work at affordable prices. Great company!”
“This company was recommended to me and I don't regret it. They are very punctual and do a great job. The price also seemed very reasonable to me.”

Where We Work, County By County
Marietta is home, and from here our team serves homeowners across six counties in North Metro Atlanta. Over the years, that has meant working in everything from older homes with aging ductwork to newer builds with more modern HVAC systems.
That local experience matters. We understand how homes across the area are built, how long cooling seasons affect equipment, and the kinds of comfort problems homeowners here tend to run into. Whether the call is close to home or farther across the metro, we bring that familiarity with us.
If your street sits on a boundary and you are not certain which side of it you are on, put that question to us before anything else.

Have Something You Want Us To Look At?
Call Us, Or Send Us The Details
Most people reach us because something at the house has stopped behaving the way it should, and they would rather ask than guess. Describe what you are seeing and hearing, and we will tell you whether it needs a visit, what that visit covers, and what is likely going on inside the system. You will have the information before you have a decision to make.
